Dana Chemical Industries to hire 1,200 more workers in Texas

DALLAS — Dana Chemical Companies, the world’s largest producer of the powerful pesticide diazinon, has announced it will hire 1.2 million workers in the state over the next five years, bringing its total workforce in Texas to nearly 5 million.

Dana has said the expansion of its manufacturing footprint will bring more jobs to Texas.

The company has a production facility in Bexar County and its operations in Texas have been expanding since 2014.

More: The company says its employees will be able to be on site for work when they are needed.

The company says the hiring comes as the Texas Legislature continues to debate a bill that would make the state a “durable” labor market, one that provides workers with adequate pay, benefits and job security.
